Recharge Plan Hike Jio Airtel Vi BSNL Targets India 4G Service end of this Year Budget 2024


BSNL Plan Ahead Recharge Plan Hike: Earlier this month, telecom companies Jio, Airtel and Vi had increased the prices of their recharge plans. After this announcement by private companies, people started seeing BSNL as the only option and people started porting their numbers to this company in large numbers.

Now a big good news is coming from BSNL that the company will start 4G service across the country by the end of this year. Along with this, it can also launch 5G service next year.

4G sites started in these states

According to media reports, quoting a senior BSNL official, it has been said that 4G sites have been started in four metro cities Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. Apart from this, 4G sites have also been installed in Jaipur, Raipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Chandigarh.

Talking about the hilly states, in Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Himachal Pradesh, BSNL is trying to convert most of its base transceiver stations into 4G sites.

This is what BSNL got in this year’s budget

The central government has told the Parliament that till the end of March, BSNL had around 67 thousand 340 towers across the country. It has leased 12 thousand 502 towers to private telecom companies. Not only this, recently a request was also made to PM Modi for helping the company. A letter was duly written to the PM on behalf of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh for this.

For your information, let us tell you that in this year’s budget, BSNL has been allocated Rs 82 thousand 916 crore. In the budget, about Rs 1 lakh 28 thousand crore has been allocated for telecom projects and government companies under the Telecom Ministry, out of which BSNL has got a large part.
